Damask Diva July Blog Hop

Hello friends and welcome to the Damask Divas Blog hop! We are featuring the Skylark Paper Pack today!!! Isn’t it cute?? EEK! I can’t wait to share my project with you!!! However I to check to make sure you came from the very talented Melissa if you haven’t then you need to be sure to start at the Damask Diva Blog {HERE}.  Ok who is ready to check out what I created this month???  Sweet! You may have seen some some sneak peeks going around because this project is one that I shared at the Creative Showcase at Convention.  I really love how it turned out!
I used Coco ink to give the lace a distress look.  To get the paper to bend and adhere better to the suitcase I dipped the strips of paper into water, then added the mod podge to make the paper a little easier to work with.  This allowed me to bend it and place it perfectly without any bubbles an without it not wanting to stay in place while drying.  I also added some glitter to the outside of the Skylark paper on the suitcase to give it just a little sparkle.

My cards were super fun to make also.  I used a lot of the Chipboard elements when creating my cards.  Super quick and easy but allowed me to get the cards done in a flash.  I love how they turned out no one would ever know that you did them quickly.

I also stamped on the envelopes making them a little more customized and stacked them and tied them off with twine.
The banner that says cards- I used a rosette die to create the rosettes and a circle punch to punch out the word I stamped using the Hopscotch stamp set  “Card”  I then used some chipboard element banner pieces and painted them gold, adhered the rosettes to them and strung the banner with some fun ribbon.
Here is the suitcase closed and by itself.  I just love how cute this is! I made a fun Believe tag using a chipboard element and covered it with the skylark paper and stamped the Believe in coco.
