Hi friends, Madge here from Madge’s Scrappin Lounge! Today I am super excited. One because it is my very first post for you here at Genuniely Jane Studios and Two because the project that I created is super fun!!! I used the Man in Moon Album. I wanted to do something different with this fun album so I decided to make a fun baby mobile for a nursery.
I tore out some pages out of an old dictionary
I then took some acrylic paints and painted on the dictionary pages. (Allow them to dry)
Take a pencil and trace, then cut out the front and backs of the moons. I then used mod podge to adhere the paper to the moons. (Allow to dry)
I then took some pink felt and cut out 8 stars. Then taking some timeless twine and a needle I stitched two stars together using a skip stitch. Set your stars to the side you will need them in a minute.
I then took and embroidery hoop and some fun ruffle ribbon. I used a Hot glue gun to adhere the ribbon around the hoop.
I then took some crinkle ribbon and tied the moons and the stars around the embroidery hoop. The fun 3 Girl Jam Crinkle ribbon gives it a soft look and they spin around just like baby mobiles do.
Here are some other angles of the fun baby mobile
**I took some more 3 Girl Jam Crinkle ribbon and tied four pieces around the hoop and gathered them together at the top to tie them in a knot.
Close up of the moons and stars
Great close up of the moon with the painted dictionary pages, I also used glitter spray to give it some sparkle!!
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope that you liked my project as much as I did. Be sure to stop by the Genuinely Jane Studios Store today!!!
