{3 Girl Jam Featured Designer Note Trap}

Well…… it’s a great Thursday here at  Madge’s Scrappin Lounge and today I am super excited to show to you my fun project.  I am the featured designer for 3 Girl Jam today.  Who has papers everywhere and the regular old clothes pins just aren’t doing the trick holding up all of the papers??? Boy do I have a solution for you.  Go check out your local dollar store and see if they sell RAT…. yes I said RAT…. traps… Not MOUSE…. RAT!! LOL check out my project and see what I made with a fun Rat trap.

I used the Caribbean Splash crinkle ribbon.  Isn’t this the cutest thing EVER????
Here are two more pics that are close up.
I painted the Rat trap, used some fun pattern paper from My Mind’s Eye, Pink Paislee embellishments
American Crafts pin wheels, party straws, American Crafts thickers, Two heart straight pins, brown distress ink, Hot glue and mod podge.
I first painted the rat trap! CAUTION****** Do NOT try this without supervision!!! I am serious, this could take off your finger if you are not careful so please be careful.  I took out the stick and the pin to hold the trap piece back.  I lifted up the trap piece and put something on each corner (i used my paint lid and my mod podge lid on each corner) this way it keeps from snapping on your fingers.  Paint the whole trap, add Vintage Photo ink around the edges. Cut pattern paper to fit in the top area and mod podge them to the trap, embellish to your liking.  Tie three fun pieces of 3 Girl Jam ribbon in knots on the spring, and tie a fun big bow at the top of the trap where the loop is, push two pins in the top, hot glue pin wheels to the straws, hot glue straws together, then hot glue to the side of the trap.  Be sure when removing the lids from holding the corners up you watch your fingers.
I am going to use the clip that Sn@ps shut when you catch your rat.  This part will hold my papers perfectly.  Don’t you just love the fun color of Crinkle Ribbon????  Coral Crush!!! One of my new favorites!!!
