Hello, speedway fans, Welcome to the 2015 Original Disney Pixar Blog Hop!

Today Lightning McQueen has been in the shop getting some major tune ups! A new coat of paint, shiny new tires, freshly brushed teeth, new number decals and oh, lets not forget about the lightning bolt decals too!This race is going to be a good one folks! Grab your coffee, a cup of tea or even a nice glass of diet coke because you my friends are in for one amazing hop!

I hope you are all enjoying today’s hop! As you can see this hop is all about the Disney Pixar Themes. Haven’t you come across some amazing projects? Are you fully inspired? I know that I am. I have a super fun project for you today and I am sure as you read in the first paragraph of this post it is all about Lighting McQueen #95 from the Disney Pixar film Cars.

I have made a fun Lightning McQueen Box Car. I am in love with this cute little guy! The inspiration came from a birthday party that I helped my sister with. We made some fun Monster Truck Box Cars for a Monster Truck party. Check it out HERE !! I knew I needed to make a cute Lightning McQueen for this hop!!!

I used a cardboard box, and red spray paint. Allowed it to dry. Added the black tires using black paper plates. I then used a brad and a smaller 3″ grey circle for the center of the tires. I used a Hot Glue Gun and adhered them to the box. I then added the number #95 in yellow and orange to the sides again using the glue gun. I also cut some lightning bolts, circles, a smile and rectangles (in white and yellow) and used them to decorate the car. *** Remember the full “how to” is HERE***

This cute boxcar is ready for the Speedway! Just cut the bottom open and have your driver climb right in! Rev the engine and get ready for the black and white flags to wave!!! Here is one more pic of this cute car!
