I get so excited each and every year to sign up to participate! I would like to personally thank the amazing Elf Lisa for hosting such a fun event. This year I am doing something different. I am going to post a different DIY Holiday Christmas bulb using simple craft supplies. I hope that you will come back everyday to see all 12 Ornaments. I have been hard at work in Santa’s Workshop to bring you fun projects each and every day! Before we go any further though I want to make sure that you stopped here after visiting our Guest Elf- Jenny be sure to click HERE if you need to start at the beginning be sure to click HERE.

Who loves Sequins? Silver, Gold?  How about the best of both worlds! This cute ornament is simply fun and full of shimmer! For the 10th ornament I decided to create something fast, but Oh so CUTE!!!

DIY Christmas Ornament Happy.Madge Gillen

It was super fun to make! Here are the items that you need to make this Sparkling Ball of Shimmer!

  • Plastic Christmas Ornament Bulb
  • Gold Sequins
  • Silver Sequins
  • Black and Gold Ribbon
  • Gold Glitter Sentiment (mine is Heidi Swapp)
  • Wire
  • Scissors

Now the fun steps to create this beauty…

  • Take the top off of your bulb
  • Pour your sequins inside of bulb
  • Put top back onto your bulb
  • Take the wire and cut a small piece of wire and thread it through your sentiment so it becomes a dangling embellishment
  • Cut two pieces of ribbon. One to tie a knot and one to make as the hook
  • AND THAT IS IT!!!!!

No, I am not kidding that is it!!! Can you imagine using pink sequins? EEK!!! or how about 7 of these bulbs all over your tree?? Super easy, super cute and YES, you guessed it HANDMADE!! Love it!
