Calling all Bakers, Calling all Bakers! Ok, let’s get real for just a minute! I am NOT a baker. I would love to say that I am going to be on the next “Cupcake Wars” but they would only laugh if I tried to bake for them. However, these little guys just might get me into the finals!!! What is my special ingredient you are wondering? How about Cherry Man Maraschino Cherries! Yes, I said Maraschino Cherries.
I was introduced to Cherry Man while attending a retreat at Laura Kelly Walters home. I loved cherries before, but there is something special about Cherry Man Cherries. These cute little guys are delicious in drinks, cakes, cupcakes, pancakes, waffles, muffins, and more. I could go on and on about the yumminess of these cherries. In fact if you want to check out Cherry Man Original Recipes click HERE. As I said before I am not a baker, nor a treat maker but every single one of these recipes are calling my name!
When I got my box of Cherry Man goodies, I was excited. I knew immediately that I wanted to make these cute Yellow Cherry Cupcakes. So I gathered my supplies to make my cupcakes.
As you can see, I have a Yellow cake mix, Cherry Frosting, Sprinkles, a Cupcake Tin, Cupcake Liners, and last but not least our SECRET Ingredient CHERRY MAN Maraschino Cherries.
Step 1- Follow the instructions on the cake mix box. Get the batter mixed and set aside.
Step 2- Take 15-20 Cherry Man Maraschino Cherries and Dice them up
Step 3- Add the cherries to the Cake Batter, stir the cherries so they are mixed into the batter
Step 4- Fill Cupcake Liners half full, and follow instructions on Cake Box
While waiting for my Cupcakes to cook, I thought that I would have a little fun. This pic was taken before Christmas of course, so I had my elf hat on while baking. I thought that it would give me a little “elf magic” and help me out with my baking skills.
Time is up and I was super excited to say that ALL my cupcakes turned out perfect. However, I still had a little batter left and I didn’t want it to go to waste. So I sprayed a bread pan and dumped the remaining batter into the pan. I guesstimated on the cook time so I went with 20 minutes.
While that was cooking I decided to frost my cupcakes, add sprinkles and put a Cherry on Top.
I am loving how they turned out. My mouth was watering just looking at them! Beep, Beep, Beep! Looks like my Mini Cake is finished.
I took it out of the oven and allowed it to cool. I then frosted it and added three cherries to make it beautiful. Check it out!
I have used almost all of my cherries and it looks like I will be needing more! I mean who doesn’t love a Cherry Diet Coke EVERYDAY?
