Farmhouse Kitchen Mason Jar Decor Guest Designer for Canvas Corp.

Hello everyone,  I am very excited to be the guest designer today on the Canvas Corp. Blog!
I would like to start out by thanking  Canvas Corp. for sending me the fabulous goodies to play with.  I will be using the Farmhouse Collection for my project today.  I am going to be honest, when I first saw this line I had many different ways that I was going to use this collection.  However, do you ever just have an Aah Ha moment? When all of the lights come on?  That is how this project came to me. I was driving down the road when the idea struck! It was simply meant to be.  I actually had to pull to the closest Antique shop and purchase an Old Vintage 1954 Cookbook to complete my project.
I know I am leaving you all in suspense mode so let me post a picture of the project so you can see what I am talking about. If you want to see the step by step tutorial on how to create this fun project be sure to check it out on the Canvas Corp Blog HERE!

Now you have an idea of what my project looks like, I can explain what you will need to make this fun project.  I knew that I wanted to make something fun and Vintage for my kitchen.  I picked up this old cookbook and raced home.  Pulling out my Farmhouse goodies I sat down to create this super fun project.

Items you will need:
Canvas Corp. Farmhouse Paper
Canvas Corp. Printed Mason Jar Tags
An An Old (or new) Large hardbound Cookbook
4 Medium size Mason Jars
An old thin belt
Glue Dots
Paper Trimmer
Black Marker

This is a top view of the Cutlery Holder.
Take a look at the Canvas Corp. Blog to see the step by steps!!

I found some fun wooden Cutlery at a local party supply store to fill my mason jars with.  I love how it turned out and it is something that I can leave on my counter for quick snacks (anything to keep me from doing dishes LOL...)

If you would like to use recycled cans instead of the mason jars that could be another option, or you could even use Canvas Corp. other products to wrap the jars in and use for your office or craft room to hold your supplies in.
I hope that you enjoyed my project today!!! Be sure to like my facebook page too!!! Whoop Whoop!!

DIY Valentines Wine Glasses

Hello friends!!! Today I have a fun but simple DIY to share with you today.  I actually made it yesterday and loaded the video onto Facebook, however the day slipped away from me and I was unable to get it posted here to my blog until today.  But the great news is that these cute little Wine Glasses can be made for any occasion. I want you to think of the possibilities when using The Buckle Boutiques Bling!! Oh buddy my wheels have been spinning since I brought my bling home with me from CHA!!! Now I only got a quick shot of my wine glass but it works...

My Tutorial is being uploaded to YouTube as we speak. I will add my video to this post as soon as it uploads.

Items needed to make this cute wine glass:
Wine Glass
The Buckle Boutique Bling Sheets
Cricut (or Cutter)
George and Basic Shapes Cartridge (or heart die or punch)

The How to:
1. Cut Heart out of Bling (I used my Cricut and cut it at 3" using the long heart I selected the shift key and the heart I then selected the multi cut feature, along with the Dial size button on. I placed my 4" strip of bling so the adhesive side was face up and the bling was facing the mat. This helps give the cut a nice clean cut. Punch heart out and take of the backing to expose the adhesive.
2. Place Heart on Wine Glass
3. Cut a 1.75 x 2.5 piece of bling
4. Wrap that around the stem of the Wine Glass

And that is it super easy peasy!!

Hello... Mini Album

Hello, it has been quite awhile since I have blogged and boy does it feel good to be back into the swing of things.  I have been crazy busy with Cheer, Cruising and CHA that real life got away from me. LOL But here I am back with a Vengeance! Whoop Whoop!!

Many of you are wondering what is this mini album that you speak of? Well, many of you know that i am in Good Old Utah, right in the heart of the Scrapbooking Capital of the world! We have so many of the big companies right around me that I am always in ahh...  at the fun finds that I get when these companies have their warehouse sales! That being said I purchased everything that I used for the cover of this mini including the mini!! Oh wait just two exclusions- The Close To My Heart Washi tape and Dollar Store Glitter tape.

Here are the supplies that I used to make my cover! Yup I said cover because I was so excited to create that I wanted to share the cover and then as I work on the album I will post more! Sound good? Perfect!

I love the brightness of the mini and how fun and versatile it is.  The mini is by We R Memory Keepers and it is filled with page protectors inside.  Perfect for those Instagram photos!

Here is one more take on the mini album.

I am in love with the way that this turned out! I am thinking of filling it with pictures of me and my hubby for Valentines Day! What do you think?? I think that he will love it too!

My Crazy Adventures at CHA 2015 Part 1

CHA.... what to say about this awesome Craft Show? It is the biggest Craft show in the world in my eyes! This was my 5th time attending CHA, and each year I find so many different and fun and innovative things at the show.  What are the latest and greatest? What companies were on my top list of fab this year? Let me walk you through them.

I had the opportunity to meet Tim Holtz again this year.

His booth is always fabulous. Filled with so many fun vintage finds. Dress forms, old suitcases, telephones, bottles, old toys and so much more.  You could honestly spend hours in his booth just looking at all of the antique finds! American Pickers would have a hay-day in this booth! (snicker, snicker)

The buzz at this booth was his new collection. Pistachio. Check it out! I already have mine on pre-order.

When attending CHA, there are so many different opportunities to meet so many amazing people! I was able to meet the super talented and writer of The Big Ass Book of ___ ! Yup, you guessed it Mark Montano! I already had The Big Ass Book Of Crafts, so I decided that I would love to have "The Big Ass Book of Home Decor". Mark, even signed it for me! Whoop Whoop!

I started to see such a fun trend while at CHA, if you have not yet noticed Gold is the new black! LOL I say this because gold is everywhere!!! In Every booth, and on everything!
EEK... I am so excited! I really do love Gold! It makes me happy, oh yes.... especially paired with pink!

In my opinion, the amazingly wonderful lady that brought gold back was the crazy talented and superstar Teresa Collins! I have been watching the trends over the years and she, my friends is always one step ahead! Speaking of Teresa Collins, did you know that I was able to watch her and the fabulous Jinger Adams on Create and Craft US Live while at the show? Check it out!!

This pic was just minutes before they went live! Teresa Collins was live with her punches, cutter, scissors and more! Did you know that you can find all of Teresa's fabulous gold items at Joanne?

To conclude part one of my adventures at CHA 2015 I would like to share the Say Cheese II Collection by Simple Stories!! Oh my stars if you loved Say Cheese the original than you will eat up Say Cheese II!!! Yes, there is gold in this collection and it is FABULOUS!!! Check it out and see for yourself!!
I just love that Simple Stories continues to stay true to their style and vision.  Their latest campaign was "I am...." they had buttons and papers that you could write on at their booth.  Check out's video  showcasing the  "I am...." line.

Come back tomorrow for part II of my crazy adventures at CHA.
