Welcome to the 12 Days of Christmas Blog hop hosted by the amazing Lisa at Honeybearz Designs! This is my 3rd year of participating in this hop. I get so excited each and every year to sign up to participate! I would like to personally thank the amazing Elf Lisa for hosting such a fun event. This year I am doing something different. I am going to post a different DIY Holiday Christmas bulb using simple craft supplies. I hope that you will come back everyday to see all 12 Ornaments. I have been hard at work in Santa’s Workshop to bring you fun projects each and every day! For my 4th ornament I decided to do the same technique with the paint, however this time I wanted to turn this ornament into a Santa!
- After adding the red paint and swirling it around, I wanted to give it a little more color so I added a tiny bit of yellow to give it a fun spin
- Tip it upside down in a paper cup so all of the excess paint would come out the top. I allowed it to dry
- Take the end of my sponge paint brush and made the black buttons out of paint
- Use black ribbon and adhered it with my hot glue gun
- To make the gold buckle I used a gold glitter hot glue stick
- Top it off with a cute black and gold bow
- Optional-Add the jute for the hook
Bring on Christmas peeps! That is what I say! And who doesn’t love the man in the Big Red Suit? We all love SANTA! Plus what a fun kid craft this would be!
I hope that you like the ornament today! Be sure to pull out those old Christmas bulbs and up-cycle them. Be Creative in what you do, and do what you love. I know that this elf sure had fun in her workshop creating this cute bulb.
